ABSTRACT: This study investigates strategies for addressing language barriers in vocational training programs, aiming to enhance educational outcomes and inclusivity. The objectives were to (1) identify common language barriers faced by students and educators in vocational settings, (2) assess current approaches and initiatives aimed at overcoming these barriers, and (3) propose effective strategies to improve language support in vocational education. A survey design was employed to collect data from vocational students, educators, and language specialists, providing insights into the challenges and potential solutions. The sample size included 200 participants, selected through purposive sampling to ensure representation from diverse linguistic backgrounds and vocational disciplines. The case study was conducted in Anambra State, Nigeria, known for its multicultural population and active vocational training initiatives. Findings indicated that language barriers significantly impacted learning outcomes and communication effectiveness within vocational programs. Effective strategies included implementing language proficiency assessments for students, providing language support services such as bilingual instruction and language courses, and fostering a culturally inclusive learning environment. Recommendations included integrating language support into vocational curricula, offering professional development for educators on language teaching strategies, and promoting cultural sensitivity training for all stakeholders.
